OUR PEOPLE

Edward Hodgson is our Coordinator. Edward manages our day-to-day operations and arranges network activities like network meetings, workshops and training for members. Edward works with our elected Committee to develop our funding, management and resource strategies.

A graduate of the universities of Warwick and Cambridge, Edward holds research interests in how advice can be viewed as a form of education. He has worked in the charitable sector in both Liverpool City Region and Manchester. Outside of Liverpool Access to Advice Network, Edward is an England Squash coach and a governor of a large secondary school.

Martin Jungnitz was elected Independent Chair in April 2025. Martin chairs the LATAN Committee which oversees the network and helps to coordinate our activities and development. 

 

Martin worked in Local Government for over 30 years, including senior roles at Liverpool City Council.  At Liverpool City Council, Martin played a leading role in developing the Council's approach to welfare reform, poverty and benefit services including establishing the Liverpool Citizens Support Scheme and the Benefits Maximisation Service.

 

Martin says, 'During my time in local government I was acutely aware of the role of free, independent quality advice in supporting and protecting residents. It's now my privilege to work alongside advice providers and community gateways.'
