OUR GOVERNANCE
We're governed by a committee of representatives from our network member organisations and an Independent Chair. Elected by our members, our committee make sure that we're operating in the best interests of all of our members.
Our committee are elected by our members, for our members. Meeting monthly, our committee share their knowledge, skills, and a commitment to working collaboratively to ensure the network is effective and working to its aims. Our committee is made up of:
-
No more than 8 Advice Provider members
-
No more than 4 Gateway members
-
An Independent Chair
-
A non-voting representative from the accountable body (Citizens Advice Liverpool)
We have a Terms of Reference document that sets out our aims, membership structure and governance details.
As LATAN isn’t a separate legal entity, we have an accountable body that can enter into contracts on our behalf. Our accountable body is Citizens Advice Liverpool, who employ our staff, provide our equipment and space for us to work, manage our finances, and provide a range of support on practicalities like IT, marketing and communications.
We are currently funded by The Legal Education Foundation (2023 to 2025).
