Jennifer is Professor in Law at the University of Liverpool and Associate Head of Department. She is also the Director of the University's Charity Law and Policy Unit. Jennifer's socio-legal access to justice research has recently focused on whether and how people are able to identify and access social welfare law rights, and what this means for population health and health inequalities.

Jennifer joined the University of Liverpool in 2012 after completing her DPhil at the University of Oxford. She earned her Juris Doctor at the University of California College of Law, San Francisco. Jennifer is admitted to the Bar in the state of California (Inactive). Prior to relocating to the UK, Jennifer was Director of Public Policy and In-house Counsel at a large charity.
