In this the first recording of our Speaker Series, we chat with Jillian Newton about her perceptions of the challenges and opportunities facing the free legal advice sector.
Jill is a specialist criminal pupil barrister at Dere Street Barristers, and she began her career as a legal advisor working on the Hillsborough Inquest. Jill has also worked for the General Medical Council and as an advisor to the Chair of the public inquiry into the Manchester Arena bombing. Jill has worked for Merseyside Police as a member of the Force Intelligence Bureau.
