1. Needs of people Seeking asylum

Membership requirements:
Organisations who provide advice to people seeking asylum
Terms of Reference:

Purpose and aims:
• People seeking asylum are supported to understand the asylum system, their rights and entitlements throughout the process and are able to make informed decisions and engage with services
• Advice and Advocacy services supporting people seeking asylum are well co-ordinated, accessible to and responsive to their needs and support their integration into Liverpool’s communities

2. Employability

Quarterly
Membership requirements:
Organisations who provide ‘move on’ and employability advice for those granted refugee status
Terms of Reference:

Purpose and aims:
• Refugees are better able to understand and articulate their skills and competencies to support them to secure employment
• Refugees can build their skills, secure employment and gain financial independence.
• Refugees and other vulnerable migrants (with permission to work) can access services designed to support entrepreneurialism and establish businesses

Organisations/services involved in supporting the education of migrants
Terms of Reference:

Purpose and aims:
• Young refugees, people seeking asylum and vulnerable migrants (and their parents/carers/guardians) are aware of and understand the options available to them, in terms of learning, education opportunities and funding support.
• All staff within education and learning settings are able to effectively communicate with refugees, people seeking asylum and vulnerable migrant children and their parents.

Health & Wellbeing Network
Purpose and aims: The Network provides a meaningful space for ideas, issues and experiences to be shared, and a collective voice to be sought. It also aims to help to disseminate information effectively and efficiently throughout wider forums, and in helping to influence change.

Outcomes: Understand and influence policy issues in relation to health, care, wellbeing and welfare at a national, sub-regional and local level
