Chris is a Solicitor in the Liverpool office of Broudie Jackson Canter. Having studied in Sheffield and Chester he moved to Liverpool in the mid-1980s and has been with the same firm ever since. His current practice deals with a wide range of cases where the rights of the individual are affected by the state and has brought claims against the police, prisons, immigration centres, psychiatric institutions and other bodies responsible for the welfare of individuals.

Chris firmly believes that access to justice should be readily available to all members of society regardless of wealth or status and in this age of austerity this is more important than ever before. Chris chaired the Liverpool Access to Advice Network Steering Committee from its inception in 2019 until the network acquired charitable status - he has been at the heart of the development of the organisation. Chris views it as a real honour to now be a Trustee of the charity as it develops and moves into a new phase.

Alongside serving as a Trustee of Liverpool Access to Advice Network Chris is also a trustee of the Vauxhall Law Centre.
